Pledge Form and Sample E-Mail:

Thank you for making the decision to join us. I can say from experience that it is a wonderful feeling to work together and use our love of salsa to improve the lives of children facing the largest challenge of their lives.

Getting Started:

1) Click here to print the Pledge-Donation Form

2) Ask your employer if they have a matching funds program. If they do, they will make a contribution equal to the amount you raise.

3) Contact your family, friends, and colleagues and ask them to sponsor you. They can either 1) make a flat donation (example: $20.00, $5.00, $100.00) or 2) sponsor you per hour of dancing.(example: For every hour you dance they will donate $20.00 (or $5.00 or $100 - whatever they can afford). In our example, if you dance one hour, they donate $20.00; If you dance two hours, they donate $40.00; and if you dance all three hours, they donate $60.00.)

Sample E-Mail (Copy and paste this text into an e-mail or write your own):

Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues:

On November 20, 2008 I will be participating in Salsa Spirit - a fundraiser for Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Shriners run 22 hospitals throughout the United States which give life-saving, free medical care to children who have been burned. I will be dancing salsa/mambo for three hours. I would appreciate it if you would sponsor me, either on a per hour basis or simply make a flat donation.

I thank you in advance for your support and look forward to hearing from you.
